Cal Saul's journey into the world of radio is as dynamic as it is fascinating. He began his career in July 2000 with CBS Radio, joining the team behind the Howard Stern Show at LA’s KLSX 97.1 The FM Talk Station.

His passion for radio sparked during his college days at Cal State Dominguez Hills. While working as a door-to-door salesperson for the LA Times, Cal quickly climbed the ranks to become a manager. His job had him crisscrossing Los Angeles in a van, overseeing sales teams, and immersing himself in the city’s vibrant energy. This experience, coupled with his studies in Marketing, deepened his fascination with the medium. For most of his work days it was just him in the driver’s seat with the radio playing as his companion. He was captivated by the feeling of personal connection he had with talk show hosts and DJs, as if they were speaking directly to him.

After an impressive eight-year stint as a Consumer Marketing Manager at the LA Times, Cal ventured into the marketing business on his own. His entrepreneurial spirit and expertise led him to various marketing roles, but his heart was always set on radio. His dream came true when CBS Radio hired him to manage accounts, develop new business, and eventually to produce a variety of radio programs. Cal also took on roles as a co-host and moderator, lending his voice and creativity to many of the shows he helped produce.

Recently, Cal has broadened his horizons, leveraging his radio experience to assist people in launching and enhancing their podcasts, utilizing Audacy’s extensive library of over 40,000 podcasts. His career reflects a unique blend of hands-on experience, strategic insight, and a genuine love for the world of audio.

Dress Code

The City Club maintains a dress code.

Attire can certainly elevate or diminish the experience of others. They consider ball caps or beanies, tank tops, flip flops, distressed denim, shorts, team athletic attire, and t-shirts with no jacket as too casual for City Club LA. Their staff takes pride in their appearance, so they ask their members and their guests to respect their dress code at all times.
