Dean Axelrod

Dean has 30 years of professional experience combined with a passion to help others do better and live better. Direct Relief provides humanitarian material medical aid to populations that are affected by poverty or emergency situations in the United States and around the world.

He moved to Santa Barbara in 2013 to establish a branch office for the financial services firm Edward Jones. Prior to this he served as the Division Manager for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Tucson, Arizona, where he provided general management and leadership for court facilities in Tucson and Yuma Arizona during the Great Recession. Previous to that he I owned a boutique professional services firm providing legal counsel, strategic planning, executive coaching, and marketing consulting.

Dean earned an MBA and JD from the University of Arizona, and a BA in English from Boston University. Dean is a past president of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara. 

He can also be seen volunteering with Partners In Education and as the Mock Trial Team Coached for the he Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, California.  Dean is also a frequent guest consultant for Women’s Economic Ventures.
