L. Walker Van Antwerp, III
Sole Proprietor
Van Antwerp Law Firm

L. Walker Van Antwerp, III is the newest member of LA5, having been presented to the club last Friday.  A native of California, he grew up in Utah and earned two bachelor degrees in three years from the University of Utah:  Psychology and Political Science.  From there he went to the University of Southern California where he received his Juris Doctorate.

Walker is the Sole Proprietor of the Van Antwerp Law Firm, and offers legal services for small family businesses and real estate litigation.  He also provides uninsured workers compensation defense, along with wage and hour defense.  He has had several significant reversals on behalf of his clients, including a published reversal at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He and his wife, Lorena live in San Pedro and have been married for twenty-one years.  They are the proud parents of four children:  three boys and one girl.  Walker is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys hiking, basketball and soccer.

He also enjoys reading history, especially about China, and listening to history books on tape.  The three people he would invite to his fantasy meal are Marco Polo, Marcus Aurelius and W.E.B Du Bois.

Walker joined Rotary for the fellowship, and to discover ways to get more involved in the local community.  Make it a point to say hello to him, and introduce him to other Rotarians.

On a personal level, this reporter is thrilled that finally, after more than 100 years of existence, the Rotary Club of Los Angeles has more than one Walker on its roster!
