Overcoming the anxiety and nerves of performing and showcasing their talents, high school students from across Los Angeles joined LA5 for lunch in the early spring with the hopes of winning big! Our members voted on which students they believed were the top artists in the areas of instrumental music, art, and speech.

The students were incredible and we chose three to advance to the finalists. They did a phenomenal job representing LA5 and artists across Los Angeles by competing in the Pageant of the Arts District Contest earlier this month. And their talents were evident with two first-place awards and a third-place award! Congratulations to:

Matthius Renteria - 1st Place: ART

Emma Tio - 1st Place: Music Instrumental

Rene Villarreal - 3rd Place: Speech
