Maureen Tepedino
Featured Rotarian

Maureen Tepedino grew up in Jamaica W.I. and at an early age expressed an innate artistic ability that has shaped the journey of her life. She began playing the piano at eight years old, and continued her musical studies for seven years. Many members of LA5 have heard her play the piano during our Friday meetings.

Maureen relocated to Toronto, Canada with her family, and eventually worked for IBM Canada as a Junior Computer Programmer. But she always knew that her real calling was creative and artistic. After moving to Los Angeles, she studied Interior Design and Art at Santa Monica City College.

For 18 years she has owned Maureen’s Boutique, a women’s clothing store in Santa Monica. She has designed sportswear and career clothing, and used her expertise in wardrobe consulting and accessory planning to assist women of all ages.

As an Interior Designer, Home Stager, Abstract Artist and Color Specialist, Maureen currently uses her talents helping clients transform their homes or offices through color and design. Painting is one of her biggest passions, and she has a large collection of original paintings at her in-home art studio in Marina del Rey.

She is married to Angelo and is the mother of two sons, Sheldon and Michael, both of whom live in Toronto, Canada. Even better, she has three grandchildren, and seizes every chance she has to spend time with them.

Maureen joined LA5 in June 2006 and enjoys the chance that affords her to give back to the larger community. She has participated in organizations such as Feed the Children, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, the Venice Boys Club and the Los Angeles Mission.

She loves walks on the beach with her husband, visiting Art Galleries and discovering the newest trends in Design and Architecture. She also enjoys entertaining, cooking, dancing, travel and checking out new restaurants.

Maureen is one of the most personable members of the Rotary Club of Los Angeles. Make it a point to become better acquainted with her.
