Can’t Wait to See You Again This Week... on ZOOM

We had an incredible meeting last week where we learned myths and facts about homelessness and efforts being made to bring an end to this reality of our times. Thank you to so many of you who joined on Zoom.

As I mentioned last week, with the rapidly increasing spread of the Omicron variant of COVID, the Executive Committee and I have made the tough decision to offer a Zoom-only option for our first two meetings of this new year. We feel this abundance of caution is the right thing to do for our members, guests, California Club staff and community.

We hope the holiday COVID surge will slow after this week and we can resume meeting in person again next week - January 21st. Of course, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and make the best decisions we can for the health and safety of our members, guests, staff at the Cal Club, and all of our families and friends.

I hope you will join me this Friday on Zoom where we virtually welcome actress, producer, director, and professor Kelly Galindo and CEO Tera K Hilliard of Forgotten Children, Inc. to bring an eye opening presentation and discussion about human trafficking. Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day so this program couldn’t be more timely.

Yours in Rotary Service,
Paul Ekstrand
President, 2021-2022
