The LA5 Peace Committee is devoted to learning about what peace is, and actual engagement in peace building activities. We are now a Rotary “peacebuilder” club by joining the Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) network (www.rotaryactiongroupforpeace.org), which is a resource to the Rotary community to engage, educate and empower the Rotary network to advance peacebuilding worldwide and in our own communities. We will work to educate members as to what Peace Building is from a Rotary perspective, create a culture of peace within our club and community and explore and engage in how peace and conflict resolution interface with a variety of issues, such as: disarmament/preventing gun violence, equality/equity, peaceful expression, human rights, etc.
