Vocational Scholarships Committee

The vocational scholarships committee works with multiple educational and local organizations who are involved with low income youth. From these partners, we solicit and review applications each year for young adults or those re-entering the workforce who want to get trained in a trade that can lead to employment. We hope to build foundations for individuals and families to enter and excel in the workforce where technical skills provide work readiness to enter the labor market. The committee members attend graduation ceremonies at the various partners, including DCFS, Defy Ventures, Scouts Exploring, and Los Angeles Community College campuses. We try to stay in touch with awardees to share their successes.
