perspective to the magazine with pieces on lost neon, vintage road trips, and the last
elevator operator in L.A. Nichols writes the Ask Chris column and has written several
award-winning book about Los Angeles, including The Leisure Architecture of Wayne
McAllister, Walt Disney’s Disneyland for Taschen, and Bowlarama: The Architecture of
Midcentury Bowling.Â
