LA5 New Volunteer Opportunity with A Place Called Home!

A Place Called Home (APCH), is inviting Rotary LA5 to be part of its Spring 2024 APCH Shaheen Scholarship Committee review. There are two ways to get involved:
1. In-person: Interview Day Saturday, April 27 th 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Two members are needed to interview scholarship applicants on Interview Day. You will receive a set of interview questions in advance. On that day, you will engage with applicants during 20-minute interviews, with 5 minutes scoring and providing feedback and constructive comments on an online platform. Each interview should be completed in total within 30 minutes.
2. Remote Essay Review: If you prefer a remote role, you can review applicant essays remotely. You will be expected to carefully assess and provide feedback on the essay responses. Your valuable insights will aid in our scholarship selection process. RSVP Deadline: Friday April 5th. Please click here to access the interest form. Upon your submission, APCH will send a separate email with additional instructions and details. APCH is excited to have LA5 be part of this important process for these students most if not all would be the first in their families to even contemplate a college scholarship. Our involvement will help shape their futures, and APCH is very grateful for our dedication.
