RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) events are organized locally by Rotary clubs and districts for participants ages 14-30. Depending on community needs, RYLA may take the form of a one-day seminar, a three-day retreat, or a weeklong camp. Typically, events last 3-10 days and include presentations, activities, and workshops covering a variety of topics. RYLA allowed over 160 young leaders to embrace the theme LEAD: Learn, Explore, Achieve, and Dream. Big thanks to the volunteers and counselors for creating this amazing space where our future leaders can soar and bond. Between the leadership insights, fun-filled activities, and treasured memories, my niece thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

First Day of D5280’s RYLA at Pali Institute in Rolling Springs. More than 120 high school students are participating in this three-day weekend camp, experiencing and learning about leadership skills! Day 2 of D5280 RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) with great leadership exercises and fun games! With five PDG/G-line in attendance for the first time. Day 2 of D5280’s RYLA welcomed Inspirational speaker/member of Mental Health & Wellness Rotary, Alex Montoya. He made an outstanding presentation titled “You Can Do Anything”. The evening was a fun-filled “RYLA Got Talent” show and reflections in the serene forest.

More on the last day of D5280’s RYLA. About 120 high school students around Southern California left RYLA with so many great memories of new friendships and accomplishments! Big congrats to RYLA Co-Chairs PDG Melody St. John and Jeremy Brown and their amazing team for another successful RYLA at Pali Institute in Rolling Springs!
