The Rotary Club of Los Angeles honors Razia Jan as the 2024 Woman of the Year. Razia Jan is an award-winning humanitarian, and the founder of Razia's Ray of Hope Foundation (2007- present). A tireless advocate for young women and girls, Razia's foundation provides a community-based education school for girls K-12 in Afghanistan. This is outstanding as Afghanistan girls and women are prohibited from having an education. As a Woman committed to service and an international figure, she has been recognized for her forging connections between Afghans and Americans since 2002. In 2012 Razia was awarded the CNN Top 10 Heroes award. Her humanitarian efforts are honored in First Lady Laura Bush's 2016 book We Are Afghan Women. She is a past President of Rotary Duxbury, Massachusetts and was awarded the Rotary International Peace Award at the United Nations. Razia is the subject of many documentaries and a children's picture book biography Razia's Ray of Hope. The book won the Jane Addams Children's Book Award Honor.

Introduction will be presented by Jason Butler Harner. Jason Butler Harner is an American film, TV and theater actor, playing FBI agent Walter Gary Martin in NBC's The Blacklist. His other credits include award-winning Netflix Series and the Emmy nominated Ozark - (Agent Petty) ,Rabbit Hole - (Miles Valence), HandMaid's Tale - (Commander McKenzie), Changling - (Gordon Northcott) and many other film and theatre dramas. In 2006 he was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Paris Letter. He received the Obie Award for his New York performance in Hedda Gabler.

Also joining us for Woman of the Year is Mia Barron and Vera Jimenez. Mia Barron is an American stage and television actress. She is known for her extensive New York City theater and film credits and independent film work. She has been in recurring roles in Get Shorty, Law and Order, Grey's Anatomy, A Southern Haunting. She is the recipient of the Obie Award and Drama Desk Award. Mia won the Lucille Lortel Award for Best performance at the Lincoln Center play "The Coast Starlight". Vera Jimenez is a KTLA5 Meteorologist. Vera is the recipient of 2 Emmy awards, Three Golden Mikes and Three Golden Pylon awards.
