More about Rachael

Rachael Sonntag-Bloom joined IsraAID in 2019 as the U.S. Resource Development Director, based in Los Angeles, and has traveled to the organization’s Guatemala field mission following the eruption of Volcan de Fuego. She brings over a decade of experience working in the nonprofit sector at a variety of communal, medical and philanthropic organizations.

Prior to joining IsraAID, Rachael served in various development and community engagement professional roles at Jewish World Watch, Sinai Temple, and USC Keck School of Medicine. Rachael first got her start in the philanthropic sector at California Community Foundation where she supported civic engagement programs vital to LA’s diverse populations, focused on immigrant integration, early childhood education, and community redevelopment issues.

She is an alumna of the University of Southern California, with concentrations in political science and nonprofit management.
