Dinner Party

LA5's newly activated Peace Committee has been meeting and planning programs to fulfill our mission of building an awareness of peace as a means to address world and local issues. The committee’s first idea is for LA5 members to get to know one another better within the context of peace conversations. In that context the committee is pleased to announce it is launching a forum informed by good food, the warmth of hospitality, and forging friendship. We plan to hold dinner meetings in members' homes - all on the same night - focused around the topic for discussion of Understanding Through the Lens of Culture.

Save the date: Saturday, January 15, 2022, 6:00 – 10:00 pm. To accommodate as many members as want to attend – up to 10 per location, and with reasonable travel time - we are seeking six to eight LA5 members to offer to host in their home, in regions where members reside, e.g., downtown, Westside, South Bay, Pasadena, east San Gabriel Valley, Orange County, etc. Each host could prepare the meal, or do a potluck and ask for food contributions once attendees are identified and assigned to a location.

If you’d like to host a dinner, please contact John Spokes ([email protected]). We will provide more information soon but for now, please save the date and whet your appetite for what will be a truly special evening of LA5 fellowship!
